First and for most with producing an advert you need to watch a lot and analyse them in great detail. I have picked a few examples which are below. 

Reasons why I have picked these selected few because they all have a meaning behind them, moreover the narration for the advert is key too, I needed to watch ones which had narration within the advert to get an understanding of the timing of the stills, footage, pace of the voice, for me personally the narration makes most of these adverts. The execution is second to none, amazing.

This advert is currently my favourite, excellent script, the visuals are breathtaking...enjoy

The one thing about this advert in particular is the music, the pace that flows through out, has a very strong message also.

Since my last post I have evolved my storyboard, from deep discussions with colleagues and tutors. I now have a clear visual strategy of what I need to do in order to produce a clear and dynamic advert.

Below I have posted the storyboard I finished a few weeks back, however now the most important thing is too write the script then produce a scamp (which in laymen terms) is similar to a storyboard however, more specific to the camera angles, and what will enter the scene, leave the scene and etc.

Yet again after consulting my timeline, I needed to now think of a strong proposal based upon the title, 'This is Change' and think of a way on how to represent the brief. 

Starting to think back about how much I have read about tea, the history of it and form potentially a documentary of some sort.

Yet again I started with the basis of my research I collected a few months back and formed a storyboard from it.

The storyboard is based upon the book, 'A social history of tea'.

After I had produced these various experiments I needed to produce a timeline to see how I was doing for the experimentation phase, because I could not keep experimenting just for the sake of doing it, I needed cohesion and reason for why I was doing them.

So to keep myself on track I needed to keep referring back to my timeline so that I did not go off on tangent, because it can happen.

Storyboard completed, looking back at what I have produced I was missing one thing, why not add virtual objects.

I have experimented with making my own physical objects, buying already man made objects but I had not as of yet produced anything 3D.

Whilst doing the storyboard, I had a thought, If I am trying to portray the whole elegance and charm idea I need my drawings to represent that, so I produced a big A2 drawing of what I had in my mind which represents an elegant everyday teapot and cup and an elegant kettle and mug.

So after I experimented, I thought to myself, right I have had fun with videos, now to be a bit more direct and start push forward with coming up with a clear and clarified meaning to why I am doing this.

I realised that I want to do some form of video, but had not found that elegancy do it or a clear reason as of yet (I was still in the experimentation phase), the charm was there, so I went back to the drawing board to do a few storyboards to see if anything would come of it.

So I experimented with my own footage and projection mapping, however the one thing lacking from both experiments was the quality of the footage, so I decided to go to a studio and re-do my footage of a high quality, nevertheless baring in mind why not be a bit creative after I have recorded the footage.

So here's a few mock ups that I like and wanted to showcase, I feel there is more of a sense of charm to it but perhaps lacking the elegancy.

So its been a while since my last post, been a busy bee working on different experiments regarding my Tea idea.

So below I have posted a few images and video's which have developed since my mould cast's and my homemade movies.

To get an understanding of how projection mapping works, I started to experiment with a regular mug and some footage I  had, it came out how I anticipated it would. It's trying to make it elegant and charming which is the problem.
